Orange Business, Cisco underpin net zero goals
Orange Business and Cisco stepped up their collaboration on reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) as part of wider ambitions to achieve net zero by 2040.
During a joint press conference Chuck Robbins, CEO of Cisco, and Aliette Mousnier-Lompre, CEO of Orange Business, signed a memorandum of understanding for a joint action plan to help reduce their respective emissions.
Although the two companies have worked together on several joint sustainability initiatives, they asserted the latest plan represents a first for both.
“We decided to engage in a much more in-depth engagement around sustainability,” Mousnier-Lompre said, noting that Cisco “is our number one partner” with a relationship stretching back 30 years.
Robbins added Cisco has an “aggressive timeline to reach net zero and our partnership with Orange Business is a major step in that direction. By sharing data and best practices, we are going to hold ourselves accountable to our shared goals and mission, and hopefully inspire others to join us in this journey.”
The two companies plan to collaborate in four key areas, including building a baseline on the GHG emissions of Orange Business solutions that integrate Cisco products, allowing both organisations to measure levels across their shared portfolio.
