Collaboration promises LiFi connectivity breakthrough
The challenge of providing robust indoor connectivity has taken a big step forward, according to pureLifi, which announced a partnership with wireless power technology developer Solace Power at MWC24.
PureLiFi, a supplier of LiFi technology which uses light to provide secure communications, said the collaboration had produced Linxc Bridge which overcomes the issues of indoor wireless connection, particularly for 5G mmWave signals.
The company added: “By leveraging wireless power and LiFi, the Linxc Bridge solution significantly reduces costs and logistical challenges associated with signal transmission from outside to inside buildings. The window-mounted system is self-installable, eliminating the need for costly professional installation and dramatically improving indoor connectivity for enterprises.”
PureLiFi added its network access product range meets IEEE 802.11bb compliance following the ratification of the new global LiFi standard in 2023.
